today at work

The paper size at work has gotten to almost 11 by 7 . All of these heads were drawn really small with markettes.

The good thing about drawing small is that you get better control and finer line quality when you draw bigger. It forces you to concentrate as well. Although these are mediocre drawings I can say I didn't have this good of control of the pen about a year or 2 ago especially at the size I'm drawing these heads.

If you don't believe me try drawing a 3 by 3 drawing with a wet market or sharpie, if you haven't done it before I'm sure its hard as hell and for those who have, you know it takes lots of practice.

Extra sketches I had left over that I scanned and threw up here since i feel bad I didn't draw today. So many things going on, and you can only do so much to resolve them (all of them do not include drawing).

"Life won't wait"

Is one of my favorite Rancid cd's along with "out came the wolves". The idea(Life won't wait ) seems to be more predominantly relevant than it has ever been in my life. Theres just not enough hours in the day to do all the things that you want to do in the day. Working 6 consecutive

13 hour days does not help.

Still updating whatever

Not my favorite batch of doodles from the last 2 weeks but I lost the ones I was going to post. I forgot them at work and someone must of thrown them away. But its ok I'm use to my boss throwing away my drawing and taking down my demos and ripping them up. No time for color haven't had much time for anything else. I mean I work 13 hours a day plus the commute time that eats into my life of getting there and coming back. While on my days off this weekend I went to san diego to draw for a gig. All this time Im really upset for not updating my deviant account. Since my boss won't read this I'm also looking at other opportunities and hopefully one will open up before the end of the summer.

Ill skip the diary this time and just keep trying to update once a week. First drawing is a memory sketch and the rest are small doodles from work done with a marker. The last two drawings are sketches I will eventually color and post on my deviant account. Davidreyes.deviantart.com
